Join Big Communications on Friday, June 22 as we participate in National Take Your Dog to Work Day, an initiative established to promote pet adoption and encourage businesses around the globe to experience the joys of dogs in the workplace. Big has planned several activities to celebrate its furry, four-legged employees including a doggy ice cream social, photo contest and food drive.

All Big employees are invited to bring their dogs to work on Friday where there will be a roped off parking spot just for the pups, decked out appropriately with fake grass and a fire hydrant. At 11 a.m., the Big dogs will enjoy a doggy ice cream social in the conference room with special guest Dooley, the 6-foot mascot of Dog Days of Birmingham (a favorite getaway for several of the Big pups). Big’s staff photographer will be on-hand to take pictures of the pups and their owners for the “Big Dog” Facebook contest to win two days of doggy daycare at Dog Days of Birmingham.

Throughout the day, Big will collect dog food, toys and supplies for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. A list of accepted items may be found at http://bit.ly/BigDogs12. Employees, clients, friends and neighbors are all encouraged to bring donations to help animals at GBHS as they wait to be placed in their forever homes. The first 50 people to drop off a donation will receive the special Take Your Dog To Work Day 2012 print featured below and designed by Big.
