Marks we’ve made
Distilling a brand to its core essence and communicating it visually in it’s simplest form – that’s like our zen moment. Whether it’s building brands from the ground up or evolving them to better represent their current state, we love creating identities that are as simple as they are smart.

Jacksonville Aviation Authority
Because we needed to create a mark that was flexible enough to be used by 4 different airports and one aviation authority, it had to be simple yet symbolic. The result was an exceedingly local and yet iconic mark that married aviation elements while also drawing inspiration from bridges in the Jacksonville community read more >

Golden Construction
With scalable solutions at their core and a flexible approach to contracting, the mission of Golden Construction is to handle their business with such pride and conviction that “good enough” is never enough. To that end, they wanted a brand mark that reflected their relentless pursuit of innovation and one that also spoke loudly of their talent for organization. The result is a logo that is organized yet advancing; straightforward yet dimensional; creative yet structured.

2nd & Charles
Books-A-Million wanted to try something different. They were developing 40,000-square-foot store where people could trade in their used books, music, movies, video games and more for cash or store credit. The only problem was it had no name. Or logo. They wanted a name and logo that communicated the charm and value of a thrift store with the sophistication of an incredibly modern like-new environment. After rounds of consumer research, the 2nd & Charles name and mark was born. Not only does the name give the store a sense of place and history, its simple graphic style makes it stand out in a crowded retail environment. read more >

Alabama Gulf Seafood
Despite having only 53 brief but beautiful miles of coastline, Alabama produces a boatload of shrimp, crab, fish and oysters–more oysters, in fact, than any other state in the US, historically. The only problem is most people don’t think Alabama even has a coastline. Through the Alabama Seafood Marketing Commission, we set out to create a brand for Alabama Gulf Seafood that spoke to the premiumness of the product by highlighting the authenticity and genuine goodness of the four-generations-deep seafood-producing community of the Gulf Coast. This particular mark was designed to feel classic, weathered and true, just like the folks of Coastal Alabama. read more >

University of Montevallo
Most traditional university logos look pretty much the same. But the University of Montevallo needed something different. As Alabama’s only public liberal arts university, it attracts a different type of student and professor alike – a diverse, creative and inspired bunch that values unconventional wisdom. The new mark had to be as imaginative and distinct as the community itself. read more >

Go Build
Most people think the key to a successful career begins with a four year degree. While there’s nothing wrong with a college education, the long term effect of that preconception has been a serious depletion of younger workers into the skilled trades. With huge opportunities emerging for younger people in the skilled labor force, we knew we needed more than just a logo: we needed a battle cry. read more >

Tazikis
Think Mediterranean cafe meets a contemporary, creative kitchen. That’s Tazikis. This delicious, homegrown eatery was looking to freshen up it’s look before rapidly expanding it’s footprint across the Southeast and beyond. They needed a mark that would better reflect their healthy dishes and attract an audience interested in eating well on the go. Not only did we add a lot of creative juice, we also baked in a Greek essence to the new brand.

Jacksonville State University
Tasked with repositioning the university in the crowded marketplace of higher education, we set out to re-position the brand to be more relevant to today’s students. We created a logo that’s a smart nod to the past but with a keen eye on the future. The Gamecock’s tail sweeping over the logo signifies JSU as a university full of energetic, forward-thinking individuals who are packed with potential. read more >

Daxko
Few companies can boast Daxko’s level of creativity, camaraderie and culture. They create, sell and support software that helps organizations, like the YMCA, run more efficiently. Even though their software makes all the difference for their clients, their people are what make them so much better. So when we helped them with their identity, we gave them an icon that captured both the benefit of their services, but also gave them a distinct visual iconography to use in everything they do. read more >

Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau
Inviting people to experience the best your city has to offer begins by building a brand from the inside out. This mark was designed to give our city a unique identity that was not only a powerful symbol for the city, but also a catalyst for revealing all it has to offer. read more >

National Bank of Commerce
In a time where banks were wondering what their name was going to be next week, we were tasked with creating an identity for a new bank that felt like it’d stood the test of time. Luckily for us, this bank was not like the rest. It had a radically different approach: act less like a shopping mall and more like a bank. Simply put, get back to the basics. And that is exactly what we did.

Fred Shuttlesworth Foundation
Fred Shuttlesworth will always have a special place in our hearts. He was more than just a minister in and civil rights leader who fought against segregation, hatred and bigotry. He was an inspirational leader that was instrumental in changing not only our city but the way the world saw us. His foundation exists to keep his vision alive and to continue to bring the hope of equality to all people.

Deshazo Crane Company
Building single and double girder cranes from the ground up is no easy task. And for DeShazo Crane Company, they take it to a whole new level, custom building every part to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards: theirs. To keep pace with global competition and the growing sophistication of manufacturing marketing, they needed an identity that reflected their unsurpassed quality and positioned them on the same scale as their global competitors. So, naturally, we helped them raise the bar.

Global Systems
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto. Yes they design, build and install robots (how cool is that?). With a company name that sounds straight out of a sci-fi movie, we engineered an icon that captured the essence of how automation and robotics could streamline efficiency and increase productivity for manufacturers. And, no, we did not get a free robot out of the deal, but don’t think we didn’t try.
