Valerie Taylor, one of our assistant account executives, was named American Advertising Federation Birmingham’s “Junior of the Year” at the 2016 Ten Awards ceremony.

Held Thursday, June 16, the Ten Awards recognized 10 of “the best of the best in the agency and corporate marketing arena.”

Taylor was nominated by her colleagues for her strong work ethic, her ability to thrive in high-stress and high-volume work situations and her unwavering professional etiquette.

“Valerie embodies the core of who we are as an agency: young, hungry and wide-open,” said John Montgomery, president. “We take great pride in her accomplishments and are pleased to know the Birmingham ad community chose to honor her talent. We look forward to her bright future and growth within the agency.”

Taylor, who began her career as a Big intern, was hired full time in May 2015. She now assists in client relations and project management, as well as research, proposal development and campaign reporting for Big’s healthcare clients, as well as Go Build Alabama. She graduated magna cum laude from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), earning her Bachelor’s of Communication Science with Concentration in Public Relations. While at UAB, she was awarded “Best Internship” from the UAB PRCA/PRSSA chapter for her work with Big.
